Hi, I'm Ian

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.

I have previously owned 3 homes ( Sydney and Brisbane)
Married for 30 years (now divorced) and have had dogs, cats and an assortment of other animals, and I'm quite comfortable caring for reptiles and farm animals.

Previously worked in commercial radio for many years (Sydney and Hong Kong) holding management positions along with managing my own handy man business in more recent years.

I have been house sitting homes off and on in the city and rural areas for about 5 years, often caring for acreage/waterfront properties. I'm very familiar with pool care, water storage pumps etc and grey watering systems.

I supply my own sheets, pillows, towels etc

I am quiet living, sociable, non smoker and enjoy an occasional glass of red. My interests are, bush walking, gardening and sailing.

We have had the pleasure of having Ian house/doggie sit for us and would like to provide the following comments.

Our emphasis was high on caring for our 14 year old Westie, Stirling. He is the absolute most precious thing in our lives and trusting his care and wellbeing’ to someone was huge. Ian exceeded all expectations.

Stirling was beautifully looked after; his routine and diet maintained and it was very evident that he had been loved and cared for as if he was his own.

He had been treated like the wee Master of the House, receiving lots of cuddles, daily walks and an abundance of human company in his much loved home and surroundings.

Our home, grounds and pool was spotless and extremely well looked after and was lovely to return to.

Now knowing we can travel with peace of mind, never have to worry about going away on holidays again has given us such peace of mind and we can look forward to travelling with confidence.

We have no hesitation in recommending Ian for any house sitting position he applies for and are available for further comments should you wish to contact us.

Ian McLEOD has looked after my rural property many times during the past five years and I have always returned to find the 1 hectare of land mowed, a very happy dog, the house clean and tidy and many little maintenance jobs done including servicing the mower, cleaning outside walls and electrical fittings.
