Hi folks, everyone calls me Jo. I am a 51y/o Clinical Nurse Consultant married to Darryl, retired marketing manager & computer whizz. We are recent empty nesters and just sold our beautiful home on the Mornington Peninsula VIC to return to sunny QLD for a simpler lifestyle change. We would love to care for your home while we look for the right 'tree change' acreage. We spent the last 3 months checking out different shires from Northern Rivers to Noosa. We have met alot of lovely, down to earth people on the Sunshine Coast & decided to make it our permanent home. Our son Oscar is 21 y/o and is working in Brisbane. We have two adorable Ragdoll cats Cleo & Leo who are being cared for beautifully by a dear friend while we find our dream home. We love gardening, bush walking, permaculture, enjoying the great outdoors & preserving the natural beauty of the precious fauna and flora in our wonderful country. Darryl and I were both privileged to be raised on farms where we got to enjoy growing food and living on the land with a multitude of pets, bush and farm animals to love and care for. We long to return to a more natural, organic style of living. We live by country values like keeping your word and looking out for your neighbour. We are positive, energetic, practical, friendly people with a great zest for life. We know we have been blessed in our lives with much love and support from our friends & families and we have a desire to give back to the community wherever we go. We believe in paying it forward and karma for your actions. I have been a Registered Nurse since I was 18 and recently embarked on the adventure of taking extended Long Service Leave. I am also a writer and seek a peaceful, inspiring place to finish writing my first fantasy novel. Darryl enjoys body surfing, sailing, comedy and researching new technologies. I enjoy the beach, exploring markets and quaint olde vintage shops, home making, cooking, reading, writing & singing. We are versatile, reliable and flexible, taking every challenge in our stride and simply enjoying spending time together.
