More information about this house sitter

About me - I am semi-retired and live in a beach-side location on the beautiful south coast of NSW. I was born in Sydney, raised my children in The Blue Mountains and have been living at my current address for over 14 years. I love it here but also love to travel, both in Australia and overseas. I am new to house-sitting but it appears to offer great opportunities for getting to know different areas on a local level without great expense and that really appeals to me. I work part-time in mediation in the non-for-profit sector and find this challenging at times but very rewarding. It is also flexible enough to enable travel and time out with children and grand-children. When not working, I enjoy socialising with friends, walking my dog on the beach, gym classes,book group, volunteering, movies, reading, learning Italian and post-grad study in writing. Until recently I was also running a summer-time BnB from my home. I believe this experience and my practice of favouring homestays when travelling have equipped me well to understand what is needed and valued by both guests and hosts where homestays or home-minding is involved.
