More information about this house sitter

Hi I'm Kirsty,

I'm a midwife from England, currently working in Sydney. My contract at my current hospital will come to an end in August and therefore I thought it would be a great idea to start housesitting and explore different areas of Australia while I have the opportunity to do so. I would like to spend some time in QLD but I am open to any housesit opportunity. Being a midwife I will be signed up to health care agencies and therefore may do the occasional shift, if available in the area, whilst housesitting as this is obviously my only source of income however, please be assured I will not be away from your home/ pets for long periods. The maximum will be three shifts per week and these are only 8 hour shifts.

I'm a very trustworthy person, (as a midwife I have had more police and health checks than most. If there is an area of my body or personal life that hasn't been examined for entry to Australia I would be surprised). I'm a non smoker and only drink socially. I would be offering you peace of mind that your home and pets will be cared for with nothing but love, respect and appreciation while you are away. Anything I can do to help within your home I will be more than happy to.

I love animals and would be very happy to mind your pets for you. I owned a cocker spaniel myself before moving to Australia who now unfortunately lives back in England with my ex partner. If you have looked at my photos, you'll have noticed my little meggy in there. The majority of my days in the countryside in England were spent on dog walks and I couldn't imagine having a home without animals. I currently live with a couple who own a toy poodle. Unfortunately Farrah is not much of a people person, in fact apart from her owners she doesn't really like people at all. She has still managed to warm to me though and we have now reached a point where she will join me for sofa time and allow me to walk her, which is apparently further than any outsider has got before. I have no doubt the couple will be more than happy to provide a character reference if required.

It is no doubt a scary prospect to let a stranger into your home and even more so to look after your pets. Your pets are part of the family and its important to know you are leaving them in safe hands to be loved and looked after while you're not there, so please any questions you have please don't hesitate to contact me.
