About this house sitting position in Elwood

We’re looking for someone to stay at our place over Christmas to keep our dog company while we're away.
Our home is a comfortable ground-floor apartment in a quiet block of four, with easy access—just a single step up to the front door and two steps at the back. Inside, there is a full kitchen (complete with an espresso machine for your morning coffee), air conditioning in the living area for the summer heat, and heating in the dining room. Outside, there is unlimited free street parking right out front and an unsecured carport if you need a bit of extra storage space, though there isn't room for a caravan.
The main reason we need a sitter is our older girl, a 24kg Wirehaired Pointer cross. She’s an affectionate dog who loves attention and cuddles, and while she enjoys a stroll, she doesn't need to be walked every single day. That said, she’s not a small dog and is still quite strong, so you'll need to be comfortable holding onto her when she’s on the lead. Her main thing is that she gets anxious being left alone for long stretches and takes daily medication for her anxiety. Fortunately, she travels really well in the car, so she’s very easy to bring along if you're heading out for a drive or running errands.
If you're after a relaxed base for Christmas and don't mind hanging out with a sweet older dog who loves company, we’d love to hear from you. Read more...
