We have a very lovable and spoilt toy Moodle. As we are retired, she is rarely alone for long. Across the road is a fully enclosed oval that she loves — it’s her favourite place to chase and retrieve a ball. She also enjoys sitting at the front window, watching the day unfold as people walk by.

Just 50 metres from our home is Telopea Park, where she loves going for walks. She has easy access to the outdoors through her doggy door and comes and goes as she pleases.

We live around the corner from the Manuka shops and just a short walk to Kingston and the foreshore, where there’s a smorgasbord of cafés and restaurants. Cycling paths are plentiful — a 50-metre ride connects you to the main bike path that loops around Lake Burley Griffin, offering opportunities to visit the National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery of Australia, Questacon, or the Arboretum, with plenty of stops for coffee, drinks, or food along the way.

Our heritage-listed home, built in the 1930s, has been lovingly renovated and extended. There is greenery everywhere you look, with both courtyards visible from inside.
