About this house sitting position in Gympie

Seeking an animal-lover to mind our three pets and home for 2.5 weeks in a country town.

Our old Queenslander home is quirky and comfortable, high set and airy and set on a quarter acre of rambling gardens. French doors open to a large front veranda overlooking a fossicking reserve and the River-to-Rail trail with creek and lovely walks. We have an open-plan country kitchen and living area, with wood-burning heater and air-con. There's also a piano and the odd guitar to play.

We are 5 min drive from the historic Mary Valley Rattler steam train and it can be seen choofing south on its rides several times a week from our front veranda.

Gympie is a big country town with all
amenities, located at the northern end of the Sunny Coast. It's only 35-50mins to the beaches at Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and Noosa and an hour to the gorgeous hinterland villages of Montville and Maleny.

Now to the really important stuff - we are looking for a caring female (preferably) or couple to look after our labrador Kora, and 2 older cats Tommy and Coco; their care is our primary concern. Kora (age 4) is a rescue dog and a darling with a loving nature. Being a rescue, we aren't too sure what happened in the first 2 yrs of her life but she is less fond of males - but can be won over! Our cats have their own zones and spend alot of time inside. We have very good neighbours and vet. None of our pets have any current medical issues.
We'd like to meet you prior but facetime/ zoom/phone chat would also suffice.

Duties: feeding pets am and pm; walking Kora; watering some pot plants; collecting mail; mow lawn if needed. Read more...
