About this house sitting position in Holland Park
We have a 5 bedroom ensuited highset home (secure parking) in the quiet southside Brisbane suburb of Holland Park. We are close to public transport going directly to the CBD and Fortitude Valley or direct bus route to Garden City Shopping Centre.
The house has fast broadband, and a number of decks for entertaining, relaxing or private space.
We have plenty of space for sitters who work from home. We have 2 desks and chairs, & monitor stands downstairs. It is a designated space for a workplace without distractions with plenty of natural light. You just might have 1,2 or 3 furry helpers at different times of the day.
We have 1 indoor cat and two dogs that require in-home residential care whilst we are away. The dogs are both very excitable, so confidence with dogs is essential. Ella (brindle) & Addy (black corgi x) love lots of attention and cuddles. Addy is a senior citizen. She is 13 and she really struggles with arthritis. She has daily pain meds and cannot be taken for a walk despite what she tells you. Ella needs daily exercise and loves a good walk. Her fitness is at the lower end but she will quickly adjust to keep up with you if you like to run. Addy hates being left alone at home so it’s expected that Ard will cry whilst Ella is being exercised. She will cry like her soul Is being ripped out. Just ignore her. Luckily I have patient neighbours.
Memmer (aka Peeper) (cat) sleeps most of the time. Like most cats she is independent but if you take the time to build a relationship with her when she is ready she will want to be with you. She is mostly a home body and will sleep most days away. If a paling falls off the fence she will go adventuring. Otherwise she doesn’t know she can jump the fence and will stay in our yard.
We also have approx 30 aquarium fish. They are happy chaps and are really low maintenance.
We’re looking for someone to live in the house as we would. Duties include care of the animals, day to day watering of plants, putting out bins etc.
We are a non smokers, however have a number of outdoor areas for your convenience. We have great neighbours, but we all appreciate a little peace so a quieter style of house sitter would fit in well. Read more...
