About this house sitting position in LEURA

My family lives in the beautiful village of Leura, in the Upper Blue Mountains, NSW.
Our home is a four-bedroom house (main bedroom with queen bed and ensuite) with two living areas, both featuring gas heaters, tucked away at the bottom of a quiet cul-de-sac in a lovely pocket of South Leura.
Please note: our street is very steep, so if you're not a fan of hiking up and down hills, a car is definitely a must! (Off-street parking is provided.)
The house sits on a ½-acre block, surrounded by a lush, green backyard — no outdoor maintenance is required during your stay.
We do have some indoor plants; however, easy-to-follow instructions will be left for the few that may need a little watering while we’re away.
We share our home with our beautiful four-year-old German Shepherd, who is very much an inside dog.
He’s a gorgeous boy — but as a "COVID puppy," he didn’t get as much early socialisation as we had hoped. When you first arrive, you can expect the classic "German Shepherd barky dance," but once he knows you're a friend, he’ll quickly turn into a big softie who will adore you, follow you everywhere (yes, even into the bathroom!), and sleep nearby at night.
While he isn’t a high-energy dog, he is very strong. If walking a large, powerful pup who can get a little excited if he sees another dog, would prefer not to be patted by strangers and can get a little upset if a stranger approaches too fast doesn’t appeal to you, this may not be the right fit. He also loves playing and running around in our spacious backyard.
We would prefer for our sitter to stay an extra night at the start of the booking, if possible, to help with a smooth transition and give our dog a chance to bond with you before we leave.
Ultimately, we are hoping to find a respectful and trustworthy sitter who:
1. We can call on whenever we travel (only a couple of times a year).
2. Enjoys the beauty of the Blue Mountains and staying in our cosy family home.
3. Loves our big dog — because if you love him, he'll love you right back!
