Lorn is a very leafy suburb, of mostly older homes that are well-kept. My Federation style house is a 10-minute walk into the heart of Maitland to its many restaurants and pubs. Lorn has its own little supermarket and a number of cafes. Maitland train station is a 20-minute walk and it's about a 30minute train ride into Newcastle city and beaches. If you like good wine and food, the Hunter Valley vineyards are only a 35-40 minutes' drive away.
There's only one dog to care for; he's an elderly miniature toy poodle. He needs little care, just feeding morning and night. He's not very active and sleeps on his bed most of the day. He does usually need to be let outside to toilet once during the night.
I'd like the house to be kept tidy; the gardens shouldn't need much care as it's winter. Lawns will be taken care of by my regular lawn service.
