About this house sitting position in Mornington
We have a 4 bedroom family home in Mornington approximately 5 km from the beach and 4km to the centre of Mornington, a coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula, 1 hour South of Melbourne. The house is spacious in a suburban area and has a modern kitchen and low maintenance garden. There is a home office should you require it and we have WIFI and Netflix. We also have a solar heated swimming pool and a pool table.
We have 1 guest bedroom available for use by house sitters with a Queen size bed and wardrobe. We won't consider families with children as our own children are teenagers amd our house is not suitable for younger kids.
We have an 11 year old Labrador and a 2 year old labrador who need a walk most days. The younger lab is very friendly but as he's young he can get a bit excited so needs someone who is used to big dogs and confident to walk him, he walks well most of the time and there are good dog parks nearby. An understanding that labs are very food oriented is vital as they will try and steal things at any opportunity. They are excellent companions though and spend most of their days snoozing. We have a great leash free park near by as well.
We also have 3 chickens who need to be closed in their coop at night, 6 Guinea pigs who live outside and need to be fed daily and a blue tongue lizard in an inside enclosure who needs very little care.
We would love a house sitter/s who has plenty of energy for walks and who will be home most evenings as the dogs like some company. The chickens and guinea pigs put themselves to bed but need to be shut in their hutches at night and let out in the morning (they are not free range but they have fenced areas to roam). The The lizard needs feeding every other day. It eats mostly cubes of frozen dog food and a few supplements and veggies. The small animals will only require feeding daily and closing in at night and the guinea pig hutches need to be swept out once a week.
We would like to you to relax and enjoy the area when you're in our home so we don't expect much. The chickens and guinea pigs don't require much, the dogs just like attention Read more...
