About this house sitting position in Northcote

We own a 1 year old, 2 storey home in an inner city suburb of Melbourne. We have a downstairs bedroom with en suite for you - so no need to worry about the stairs. While we have a lot of pots and a small lawn to look after, the landscaping is a project we will attend to when we get back from our trip so there's not a lot of fussy gardening to worry about. We have our very agile 15 year old Maltese Terrier, Derek, who loves company and regular walks, and a couple of budgies in a cage in the lightwell. We are close to a number of public transport routes, large variety of shops, cafes, gyms, and bars on the High Street and some good local pubs with various styles of music on any given night. While our travel dates are fixed, if you need to come a day or two early or stay a day or two after, we can talk about that. We'd prefer not to have a family - the house really isn't set up for kids or other animals.
