Hi there,

We are Justine and Cahal, a relaxed and friendly British couple who have been house sitting in Perth since September 2015. Before that we spent three years living, working and travelling in New Zealand but we are originally from the UK. We are looking to permanently move to the Perth area and house sit full-time so that we can save for our own place and decide where we would love to live once we are in the position that we are able to buy or build.

We both enjoy travelling and meeting new people but due to our travelling nature we don't have any pets of our own, so we love the opportunity to look after other people's pets and homes whilst they relax on holiday. We enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, camping and fishing as well as chilling out at the beach, surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding in the summer. We have both grown up around all kinds of pets, both having cats, big dogs and farm animals from a young age and we are massive animal lovers.

I work as an office assistant in the CBD and Cahal is a bricklayer supervisor / general builder working at various sites in and around Perth.

We have looked after a huge variety of homes and pets (full dated list below) and all are happy to provide references. Some of the dogs that we have looked after include:

Rhodesian Ridgeback, Maltese, Shih Tzus, Spaniels, a Staffy, German Shepherds, Border Collies, a Labrador, a Golden Retriever, a Newfoundland, West Highland Terriers, Toy Poodles, a Standard Poodle, a Cavoodle, a Daschund, a Corgi, many working dogs and a Chihuahua so we have a lot of experience with housekeeping and training, exercising and grooming dogs.

We have also looked after lots of cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and fish as well as pregnant pets, puppies, kittens and a few elderly and disabled pets so we really do have experience with most pets that we tend to come across these days.

We are very respectful and considerate and strive to ensure that each home we stay in is secure, clean and well maintained. We both love gardening and being outdoors and take great pride in making sure that everything in the house that we stay in is left in perfect condition. We are more than happy to do any work around the house and garden which may be required during our stay.

Neither of us smoke.

We understand the importance of finding someone perfect to look after your pets and we want you to feel 100% confident in our abilities, due to this we are able to stay for a night before you leave so that we can observe your routines (feeding schedules, walking routes, etc...) and cause minimal disruption to your pets. If this does not suit however, we are happy to pop round for a few hours one day prior to the sit and get to know your pets and home.

We are more than happy to provide regular updates whilst you are away if you wish.

"I would very much like to thank both Cahal and Justine for the love and attention that they gave our pets during our recent holiday to the USA. They both came very highly recommended, and any hesitation I may have had prior to them meeting Smokie, our rabbit and our three cats were soon dispelled when they turned up and instantly clicked with all four animals from the off! For the record, I have never seen Smokie enjoy being stroked so much and as one of our cats is totally blind, he requires a lot of attention and patience. Again, both Cahal and Justine came up trumps and before we knew it, they had befriended the animals as if they were their own and we knew that we could depart and enjoy our holiday without having any reservations. When we finally got back, the animals had all been fed and watered (and Smokie had been cleaned out particularly well) and it appeared as if they were treated better than if we hadn't gone anywhere! The house had been left spotless and both Justine and Cahal's demeanor and friendliness mean that we wouldn't think twice about using them again sometime in the future. I wish them both all the best for the future and know that we have made some genuine friends for life.
