Hi, my name is Claire, and I’m a trustworthy and responsible 46 year old single non smoker. I work as a public servant and am currently working remotely until approximately end of June 2022. I came from New Zealand to Brisbane to help family a couple of months ago, and got stuck with the border closure, so I am making the most of it by settling in to the idea of staying for a while, regardless of what happens with borders. I work long hours at home, and don’t know many people here other than family, so plenty of time and attention to give to your home and pets! :)

I enjoy house sitting as a break from imposing too long on family during this time. I normally live alone. I am very house proud and will look after your place like my own. I am a very neat and tidy person, ensuring I clean up after myself. I am a home owner and know how important this is. Most people I’ve housesat for say I leave the house cleaner than when I arrived. I’m sensible and able to make safe judgment calls about caring for your pets and your property, and when to contact you if needed - not that I’ve ever had to do that in the past.

I have been a housesitter in the past, at various points in my life, for over 20 years, in Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, New Zealand, and Europe. I’ve housesat for all sorts - families with dogs, couples with cats, and people with multiple pets and plants and gardens and vehicles to care for!

Currently at my family home we share our lives with a gorgeous cavoodle named Flo (she won’t be coming with me for housesits - my niece won’t let me take her!).

I am looking for housesitting between October to March 2022, preferably minimum of a week or longer periods. I’d like to be based in or nearby Brisbane for most of that time, but would welcome interesting breaks by the beach or other places for some periods, and happy to travel for a housesit that’s a good fit.
