My husband and I are originally from the Sunshine Coast, Qld,but have been living in Perth, WA for the last 7 years. As our family is mostly all in Qld , we frequently do regular trips throughout the year. We have 3 adult children whom are independent and 1 teenager with just the teenager still living at home. He occasionally travels with us back to Qld. We also have a 10 year old American Staffy dog called Spartan who is a huge part of our lives, so we know what it is like to have to worry about leaving your pets whilst you go away. Putting our own dog is kennels is as stressful and worrying for us as it is for him. We even on many occasions flew our dog interstate instead of putting him in kennels or leaving him in a strange place. This is how I came across this site whilst searching for a house sitter for my own home and pet and thought what a brilliant idea for ourselves to house sit for others as well. So great not having to disrupt your pets and cause unnecessary stress and anxiety for pets, parents of pets and homeowners. Also, like myself, I have to often get someone to pop in to water my garden, lawn and pot plants. House sitting is a wonderful idea to give you peace of mind. My husband was a former police officer in the New Zealand Police Force. His current position is in management in the oil, gas and mining industry. He is state general manager of a large company here in WA. I, myself, have been fortunate enough to be a stay at home Mum raising our children.We are a healthy, active, non smoking, gym loving couple who enjoy walking, swimming, martial arts, beach, good food , great coffee and a healthy lifestyle. ( and I enjoy an occasional drop of good wine). My husband is a non drinker. We own our own home here in Perth. We are very quiet homely people and enjoy our own space. We are happy to look after your pets, gardens and home etc. I am a very clean and tidy lady of the house, who will look after and respect your home. We walk our own dog a minimum of two, sometimes 3 times a day in our local parks religiously and he is an indoor dog most of the time so indoor pets don't worry us as i am very clean, neat and tidy in the house. I also love gardens, plants, cats, birds and chickens and am more than happy to care for them. Our teenage son is an animal lover as well, especially cats, dogs and chickens.
