We are Mark & Chantal, empty-nesters with a home base in northern NSW. And yes, that is a real wolf on our profile picture!

Mark is retired from a career in education, and Chantal works remotely as a content writer.

We started house sitting in 2018 with more than 20 sits completed in Canada, the USA, France, Montenegro and Australia. We are new to Mind A Home, but we can provide a link to our profile on another platform where our five-star reviews speak for themselves.

Over the years, we have cared for a wide range of pets and farm animals, including cats, dogs, birds (chooks, budgies, guinea fowl), fish, horses, goats, and rabbits. We are comfortable with pets of any age, from puppies that need to keep a training routing and to be walked more frequently, to older pets that require medication and special care.

We are mature home owners, quiet, responsible, and respectful. Our priority is to care for your home as we would our own, as well as maintain your pets' routine and habits, so that you can travel with peace of mind and then return to a clean environment where your pets are happy, healthy and relaxed.

In 2024, we plan to travel around Australia, and we currently have bookings in QLD, NSW and VIC until May. We are now looking for sits after May 15, in either SA or WA, ideally 3-5 weeks, but we can consider shorter or longer sits depending on our itinerary. Read more...
