About this house sitting position in BANKS

Dear Potential House sitter,

Our Mistress has this crazy notion that after working the last five Christmases that this year not only should she have Christmas off but that she should go visit her Grandmother. That leaves us in the need of someone to look after us and keep our lawn alive.

We are Marie, Ebony and Harry. Marie is an almost 7yr old cat. She is not permitted to roam the streets and likes to sleep on the bed at night, though as it will be summer, she probably wont insist on sleeping under the dona like she is at the moment. Marie can initially be a little wary of strangers but warms up pretty quick once she realizes you control the food.

Ebony is a 4yr old food obsessed Labrador Rough Collie X and Harry is a 2.5yr old ball obsessed Border Collie. We can a bit boisterous sometimes but mostly we're 23kg lap dogs. In comparison to others of our breed we're really quite lazy. We live inside the house when someone is home. When you go out we go outside. Our mistress prefers that we be walked separately by house sitters, as Harry can be reactive to other dogs when he is on lead. When walked separately Harry is less likely to react and is easier to manage if he does. Of course if a couple were to walk us it would be okay to walk us together as there would then be one adult per dog. Our mistress acknowledges how time consuming walking two dogs separately is, so is happy for us to be walked on alternate days. Like we said we're really quite lazy so the house wont get destroyed by who ever misses out. While we think we're lap dogs we're not actually allowed on the furniture, but sometimes we can't resist trying to sneak our way up.

We also have a cranky cockateil called Martha. She's pretty easy to look after, just needs food and water. The cage will be fine not being cleaned for the week.

We all live in a 3 bedroom (only two actually have beds) suburban house a short walking distance to the local shops in a fairly quite street. We have a modest sized yard. Our mistress would like for the lawn to be watered while she is away to keep it nice and green for us, but there will be no need for it be mowed. She would also like for her vegggie garden and pot plants to be watered. She doesn't have many pots at the moment but hopes to have added to the collection by Christmas time. The rest of the gardens are native so wont require any watering.

The living area is air conditioned should the really hot summer weather decide to arrive early again and there are ceiling fans in every room. Solar hot water means you can have a shower hot enough to cause serious burns if you want. Off street parking, our mistress usually drives herself to the airport so the carport will probably be available.

Dates are semi-flexible. Our Mistress wants to leave no later than Christmas Eve.
