Our names are Matt & Elle, we are a young Aussie couple with a passion for travel. In 2018 we added a fur-baby to our family, Ace the Hungarian Vizsla. We have some travel planned and need someone to take care of our home and Ace whilst we are away for 11 days in January while we visit Hawaii for a friends wedding.
We are located in Quakers Hills, located approximately 40km from the Sydney CBD, and is a suburban area with lots of young families. Our sitter will have access to their own bedroom (with queen bed), nice backyard with covered seating area, and a pool. Our home is modern and newly renovated with air conditioning. Our place is not far from the train station with direct trains to Parramatta (25 mins), Central (50 mins) and North Sydney (60 mins).
Below is a list of duties we expect our sitter to take care of.
- Most important priority is to take care of Ace - feed him twice daily, walk him (minimum 45 mins per day, every day), fill up his water, pick up his poops, and give him lots of love and cuddles
- Take our bins out once per week
- Collect our mail from the letterbox
- Water our garden twice per week, and indoor plants once per week
Our preference is for a sitter who can spend a lot of time at home. A full time worker would probably not be suitable, as our dog requires attention and engagement or he becomes destructive (digging, chewing etc). We don't expect the sitter to be house-bound, as long as he has company most days.
Ace is a high energy dog and needs someone who can deal with his strength and excitement. Ideally you will have experience with young large dogs, even better if you have cared for a Vizsla. Ace is a young pup, weighing approximately 28kg. He is still learning things like how not to pull on the lead, not to jump on people, and how to control his excitement. So, he needs someone fit, strong, and patient! In return you will get lots of love, cuddles and entertainment, Ace is a funny doggy with lots of personality and love to give!
