About this house sitting position in Bawley Point
I am looking for someone, or a couple, to mind my simple, comfortable home within a couple of minutes walk to beautiful beaches and surrounded by national parks. Not much to take care of, just watering (and eating from) the veggie garden and mow the lawn if it grows. There are no pets to take care of but there are some earthworms to feed and water. No walking required!
Excellent walking, surfing, fishing, snorkelling, birdwatching and beach combing in a quiet, seaside hamlet on the beautiful south coast of NSW. You are welcome to use fishing gear and kayak.
You will need your own mobile internet as there is no landline into the house. There is a small shopping centre which has just about everything you need five minutes walk away. Otherwise town (Ulladulla) is 20 minutes drive. There are also buses that run to town daily.
There is only tank water and septic pumpout here so water use needs to be conservative. I am trying to lead an energy, water, and waste conscious life here. There is a solar system on the roof and I am happy to pay the electricity bills, but please be mindful of electricity use.
Any excess septic pumpout charges (unlikely) I would expect the house sitter to pay. It is pumped out every 8 weeks as part of the rates but there is a limit of 2500l. There is a charge for every 100l over that but if you use water sensibly it should never reach that amount.
