We live 12 km from the Canberra CBD, minutes to hospitals, the National Arboretum, National Zoo and Aquarium, short drive to museums, galleries, Bridge Club!, two major shopping centres and walking distance to our local shops. A bus stop is 30m away.
The house is tri level though we spend most of our time on two levels (this means stairs ...made from tree logs), 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and powder room. Grand piano if you like to tinkle the ivories, Wood fire combustion stove for chilly winters, Aircon, lock up garage etc.
We own an adorable 3.5 yo Welsh Terrier called "Kipper". He has a beautiful temperament, loves cuddles, walks, and games. He is an INDOOR pooch, well disciplined (obedience school) and loves visitors. He sleeps and feels very secure in his oversized soft crate at night so you don't have to worry about him roaming around and disturbing you.
NOTE: If you are not prepared to have him inside the house then this listing is DEFINATELY not for you!!

All we ask of our house sitter is to give Kipper regular exercise and lots of loving attention, water garden plants as needed but most of all to enjoy your time in Canberra. Our house is not set up to cater for children sorry (maybe one day when our first grandchild presents itself).

Our preference is for retired, work from home or mature aged students on sabbatical who can be home during most of the day as Kipper is used to having regular company. No full time or freelance workers please.

For the flower enthusiast, you are welcome to stay an extra night or two on our return to enjoy the start of Floriade, Canberra's premium spring garden and flower festival that begins 16th September.
