About this house sitting position in Crabbes Creek
Double Storey besser brick house on 1 acre. On a steep hill, but bitumen driveway. Plenty of flat parking area, and car port. It is a basic low energy house with solar panels and rainwater tanks.
I need a garden lover, as I require someone who will keep my garden watered when there is no rain. I have an extensive irrigation system system.
14 kms south of Pottsville. 4 kms to Crabbes Creek. 15 minutes to Brunswick Heads and 20 to Mullumbimby. 25 minutes to Murwillumbah. 30 minutes to Byron Bay and Tweed Heads. 2 kms to Wooyung Beach. 40 minutes to airports st Ballina and Coolangatta.
Only mobile wifi network. I manage to stream, using my phone as a hotspot.
About 1/4 acre of terraced organic fruit, herb and vegie gardens to be mantained. All irrigated. Needs watering twice a week if no rain. Each row has a line and taps, so these need to be turned on/off every 15-20 minutes till all the gardens are irrigated. All taps gave timers.

Being steep you need to go up and down the hill to access most of the gardens. A large area is also beside the house.
Dam near entrance gate. Often with ducks and water birds. About 1/4 acre of forest along southern section of property and along Wooyung Road boundary. So masses of birds all day. Air blower will need to be used to clear leaves from pavers, driveway and drain.
4 rainwater tanks with 80,000 litres of water.
Glassed in verandah with 4 sliding doors. Midge screen on all doors and windows. The screens need to be kept closed at all times, as I have severe reactions to any bites. With the hill surrounded by sugar cane there are plenty of mosquitoes.
No aircon. Or heaters. These have never been necessary.
When there is a lot of rain Wooyung Road floods. My house and 2 others are then on a large island. This can last several days. Read more...
