About this house sitting position in Dodges Ferry

Cute sunny 3 bed home with large garden, 2- 5 mins walk to beaches. Water and mountain views.
Tasman Peninsula 30-60 mins drive, with spectacular views and walking tracks. Surf beaches nearby.
40-45 mins drive to Hobart CBD, cinemas, restaurants.
12 mins drive to Sorell shops, services, supermarkets.
Film society in Dodges monthly. Great community Garden, neighbourhood house program. Good bike riding, kayaking area.

Grass may need mowing once or twice during your Spring stay, veg seedlings hand watered. Weeding also appreciated / optional!
Wood heater (no other heating) needs wood carried daily. Contribution to wood and power required please. (Solar panels keep costs down).
Tank water only, so need to be reasonable with water usage. Water capacity / level good. 2 x large tanks for house plus 3 x for garden/ animals.
W/M, bath shower all ok.
Polished wooden floors need sweeping.
Separate studio with own wood heater.

One resident cat 3yo Priscilla. Likes cuddles, patting and two daily meals.
5 goldfish need a pinch of 'flakes' each morning.
Tank may need a clean once during your stay.
12 chooks in enclosure enjoy their pellets, food scraps and a slice of bread to share for breakfast. For pen hygiene, I collect all poo in their roost area and yard daily, using bucket/ shovel/ bag system.
3 white Pekin ducks also roam the yard freely and come running every morning for their slice of bread too.
Both chooks and ducks need water topped up. Ducks have 3 x big containers that may need to be emptied, cleaned a little and refilled, once or twice during your stay. Read more...
