We live on a 90 acre hobby farm in a stunning part of NSW…..Capertee Valley, the widest canyon in the world, and a bird lover’s paradise. Located only 2hours from Penrith / North Richmond yet a world away from Sydney's hustle n bustle, and an easy drive to the historic gold mining towns of Sofala/Hill End and vineyards of Mudgee. The property backs onto the Wollemi NP and we run a dozen sheep, alpacas and some poultry. The main jobs will be ensuring stock water troughs are full, taking care of the chooks n ducks, watering the medium-maintenance garden and maintaining the water balance in the hot tub. Other than relax you only need to relax and enjoy the serenity, go on hikes or visit our interesting district.
Your accommodation would be the original cottage which we usually rent out on airbnb (but have blocked out for the duration of your stay). It is a nice,comfortable 3 bedroom 2 ensuite 'typical rural weatherboard' cottage with a toasty open fire and well equipped kitchen. However there is no tv, internet or phone reception in the house and no washing machine. Phone wise: Voda is often available around the cottage, and Telstra is reliable around the main house (120m away).

We're on rainwater tanks so some basic understanding of water pumps is helpful. Past experience with poultry is useful too. We also have a new hot tub in the yard at the main house you are welcome to use. Some past experience owning a spa would be helpful .
Given the birdlife, cats are not allowed and any pet dog must be the well behaved stay at home type (the wandering type do not fare well in this area). The relative remoteness - we are 40 minutes from the nearest shops - means a car is essential, and those seeking a digital detox or with their own tech set up would be better suited.
