Loki is a pretty independent and low maintenance boy. He is around 6 years old and happy to lie about sleeping all day. That being said, if his people are home he likes being in the same room as them.
He loves all people and makes new friends easily, however doesn't get along well with other dogs - I suspect just from lack of exposure to them. He is almost perfect on lead - however will sometimes growl at other dogs. We carry a muzzle on walks in case of offlead dogs approaching him.
Loki has been known to resource guard (often with unexpected things, like a teapot or an ikea chair leg that hadn't been built yet). These situations can be avoided by not leaving things within his reach - if you are holding it, he won't try to take it off you, though he might growl in the hopes that you will drop it.
He is truly a delightful, sweet and hilarious dog who needs feeding, a daily walk and someone existing in the same space as him.
The rest of our house doesn't require any upkeep besides picking up his poo every few days as it is a small yard.
We are located near the center of Canberra, but the surrounding area is peaceful with a nature park a short walk away. Read more...
