About this house sitting position in Marlow

Marlow, on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, immediately west of Mount White NSW (1 Hour north of Sydney) may as well be an island. Access is by boat only. Most residents park their car in a security controlled car park just south of the Greenmans On The Hawkesbury recreation park near Mount White.. Marlow is about 500 metres south by water.

Our lovely home is actually in Marlow Creek which forms part of Marlow. There are about 30 homes at Marlow. Twenty have permanent residents. We built in Marlow Creek for the privacy. There are only five homes in our area of the creek.
Our water is from a spring but is piped to the house and looks like any other system. Turn on the tap and there's the water. We are on standard electricity. Mobile reception is very good. Telstra only. Internet is Telstra (unlimited data) . WiFi is good. Toilet is septic which operates without any need for maintenance by the sitters.

There is air con on both levels of our home and all other normal house things. Three bedrooms. Three toilets.
We have 3 gorgeous cats and a medium sized garden which pretty well takes care of itself. Verandah plants do require the sitter's attention.

This is not your usual house sit. There are no options to "call the man". Tradespeople do visit of course but have to be collected by boat from the Greenmans On The Hawkesbury car park. The sitters need to be a little resourceful and MUST be comfortable handling a "tinnie" which is powered by a 4 stroke outboard. They have to have a decent degree of fitness. Our home is reached after walking up 55 stairs.

Fishing is at the door. Marlow Creek is very quiet. You could get bored very quickly unless you enjoy writing, reading, fishing etc. It is peaceful.

We need a couple or person for 27 days commencing on 15March this year to mind the cats and look after some plants. Read more...
