About this house sitting position in Newcastle
We are looking for a caring person or couple, (preferably retired or working from home) non-smokers to take care of our beautiful 16 year old cat Coco and gorgeous 3 year old Cavoodle Disco. Disco is toilet trained to use our terrace but also enjoys his walks and is crate trained at night time. Coco uses a kitty litter box located in the laundry.
We have a 3-bedroom residence located on the fifth floor (lift access) of the landmark 'Herald Apartments', a secure complex in the Newcastle East End area. It has a wrap-around terrace that offers outdoor relaxation and entertaining against a backdrop of the most mesmerising harbour, ocean and Christ Church Cathedral views.
Our apartment is a light-filled open plan living space where floor to ceiling and wall to wall glass with lovely views and ducted air conditioning/heating. We have secure parking for one car. The apartment building has a rooftop terrace that offers gorgeous views of Newcastle. As for the unbeatable location, 200 metres to Newcastle beach, stroll across King Edward Park to the bogey hole or grab a drink or bite to eat in the city or Honeysuckle. We have a Woolworths Metro a short walk away and larger shopping centres a 5 minute drive.
Two of the three bedrooms also connect to the terrace.
We have a full-size main bathroom and master ensuite and a full-size separate laundry.
Coco and Disco are fed once a day with dry kibble. We require Disco to be walked at least twice a day. Disco can be left alone for a few hours during the day alternatively there are many pet friendly cafes (one just next to our building) and restaurants. He just loves people and wants to be a part of your life! Coco is less demanding ;) We have many lovely walks near us including a dog beach. It is very easy to walk Disco and so many dog friendly options.
We are looking for a person/people who are going to care for our animals and our apartment who would like a holiday away from home. March is a beautiful time in Newcastle. The beach and ocean baths are still a lovely temperature. Read more...

They are such lovely pets to look after. Disco is a real pleasure to walk and hang out with. He is such a well behaved, delightful wee companion.
With the apartment being in such a fantastic location there is plenty of fabulous walks to take him on.
Coco is a tad shy but soon warms and comes for cuddles.
Karen and Paul were lovely to deal with, very welcoming and full of wonderful information of things to do and see in and around the neighbourhood.
They were in constant communication and went out of their way to make our stay as easy as possible.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a fabulous location, with some of the best views in Newcastle.
We would happily look after these gorgeous guys again, thank you so much for having us.
