About this house sitting position in Sandy Bay

Modern house with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, study and large living/dining/kitchen in a quiet, friendly no through road in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. 5 kms to Hobart CBD and the very popular Salamanca Market. 4 mins drive to Long Beach, popular for its dog friendly sandy beach and also the Friday twilight market (summer months). Beautiful bush walks are nearby.

The main kitchen and living area, main bedroom, and ensuite, second bedroom and front deck all have stunning views over the Derwent River and Tasman Bridge. The kitchen picture window overlooks a secluded, easy to maintain rear garden and deck ( we would need the garden to be watered and kept tidy).

We are preferably looking for a more mature (grey nomad!?) couple (non smoking) who want to look after our pets as if they were their own. Plenty of room for a caravan and your car off-road on our driveways. Although don't let that put you off if you are a single.

We have one dog & three cats. The dog, Bob, is a small Pomeranian x -13yrs old. Bob does not need lots of exercise but loves a daily walk on the beach or out in the bush. Bob is very domesticated. He loves being around people. He is getting old now so he likes to sleep a lot. He gets on well with the cats (they tend to ignore one another!).
The cats: Jimmy (male 4 yrs), Dodge (female 3 yrs) and Mitty (female 18 months) are very affectionate but not demanding - they like their independence. They like to play in the garden during the day but are not let out at night. All the animals get on well together and they are used to having people around them during the day. Four animals sounds like a handful, but they are surprisingly easy to live with and we have not found them to be too demanding - we are still able to have a life and can go out and explore all that Hobart has to offer.
Our ideal house sitter will have a Police Check and will be prepared to sign a mutually beneficial agreement and provide references. Read more...
