About this house sitting position in St Andrews

We live on a mostly bush 10 acre property. Our house sits high up, so there are views of Kinglake. We live very close to the main part of town which really is the café, post office, St Andrews Pub , Woodfire Pizza restaraunt and Organic woodfire bakery ,also a café.
On Saturdays our road turns into a pretty busy market with all kinds of food , clothes , jewellery , art and fresh organic produce...and music of course. We are 8 mins from Hurstbridge which has the train station and bus services as well as many small shops and supermarket. 15 mins from here is Diamond Creek which has all you need, petrol hardware ,Coles etc.
We are at the base of Kinglake National Park and 20 mins from Yarra Glen which is the heart of the winery region.
We need care for 2 dogs, 1 goat , 1 cat and sometimes 1 horse.
Our place needs a wood fire /combustion stove to run all winter for warmth and a swimming pool to be maintained in the spring and summer months.
Gardens and fruit trees need water in dryer seasons but apart from some much needed weeding our place is left to rest over winter.
We have 3 teenagers so when house sitting we leave you with just part of the house to be in and the rest shut. Kitchen lounge and bathroom all downstairs and we will put a bed in the lounge. This also means you stay warm in winter and cool in summer. Read more...
