About this house sitting position in Wonthaggi
Looking for a dog lover to look after our elderly female Border Collie 'Poppy' for two weeks whilst we attend our son's wedding in the USA. We are dreading having to leave her and need to know she will be cared for well whilst we are gone.
Poppy is an 'indoor princess' & spends most of her day sleeping but loves company on and off throughout the day and evening 'hand holding' & head scritching sessions whilst her humans watch telly.
She loves early morning walks every other day (early mornings are necessary as she doesn't like other dogs... anxiety issues) and is super easy to care for.
As long as she has someone to let her out for toilet visits a few times a day and food in her bowl on time (she knows exactly when it's 4pm) she's as happy as a lark.
We leave on Aug 31st but would like our sitters to arrive a day or so before we leave so Poppy can get to know them a little before we 'disappear'.
Our home is brand new (only been in 4 weeks!) and very comfortable with NO garden to care for yet. 3BR, open living, double secure garage.
Please note we do have 4-5 steps at every entrance to the home.
Super fast internet & Netflix.
We would like someone who will be respectful of our new home and not have friends over to visit whilst here.
Wonthaggi is a lovely little town...just 30 mins drive along the coast from Phillip Island and 90 mins from Wilson's Prom. Rail Trail for amazing bike riding and great beach walks at both Cape Paterson & Inverloch, both just 10 mins drive.
