Hello, I’m Louise a single 44 y/o, adventurous Canberra-based public servant. I share your love of travel and will be returning to Canberra in mid-December, having lived six months of this year (2016) in Ubud, Bali, followed by three-months travel throughout SE Asia, a part of the world I hadn’t yet explored.

I’m a clean-living, vegetarian animal lover and have grown up with numerous family dogs, owned cats, and until this year, have had tropical fish. I’m a conscientious person who will devote the time, love and expert care to your family pets, and your home. I love gardening and getting out in the fresh air to water plants, tend a veggie patch, and walk mornings and evenings.

I’m a proud owner of two properties in Canberra, have sat on both body corporate boards; self-managed many tenants; am experienced in diligent home care and dealing with maintenance issues; and I bring a community conscience attitude to where I reside.

Having spent 2016 living abroad and travelling, I’m not yet ready to move back into my own Canberra home and resettle. I’d like to remain open to opportunities and be in a position to ‘lift off’ and make interesting choices about where I choose to lay my head.

Although I use to house sit in my late 20’s (two properties in Hobart, and a number in Canberra), since achieving home ownership, I’ve enjoyed renovating and focused on maintaining and improving my own slice of Australia! I therefore have only personal references, as this post is the beginning of my house sitting adventure.

I recently (2015/14) underwent an ACT police check through Barnardo’s, while in the process of becoming a foster child respite carer. I will re-lodge/renew that check if you are interested in me.

I’d love a chance to look after your pets and home while you enjoy a lovely trip and new adventures knowing that what you hold dear is receiving the very best of care and attention.
