More information about this house sitter

We are a farming family from a tiny rural town in NSW called Grong Grong (population 150 people).
We have registered on this house sitting website purely to help make a 2 week stay in Canberra more affordable for us as one of our twins requires surgery that we can’t get for him any closer to home, this comes on the back of his twin sister having open heart surgery in Sydney last year. Our sons surgeon has said we need to stay within a short drive from the hospital for 2 weeks post surgery. Unfortunately for us that is not able to be our home which is 300+kms from Canberra and it is outside of our budget for motel accommodation particularly following a tough year of drought for last years cropping season and our extremely expensive 9 week stay in Sydney for our daughters heart surgery.
We are hoping this road to our accomodation search might be able to help someone else keep there home/garden/pets safe and well cared for at the same time it will help us to afford our two week stay in Canberra.
We are extremely house proud and take pride in a clean home, we would treat anyone’s home with even more respect than our own.
On our farm we care for thousands of sheep, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 tropical fish tank and 8 chooks so we are very used to caring for pets and respect the need for their care on all levels.
We hope who ever is out there looking for their ideal house sitter will understand our situation and give us the opportunity to be considered for the job and let’s say “scratch our back while we scratch yours” so to speak.
It would honestly mean the world to us to be considered for a house sitting job roughly around the 5th-19th”ish” September 2019 as surgery is scheduled for the 6th September.
We will keep our fingers crossed that our stars will align with someone else’s out there and we can make it all work for our scheduled dates. Read more...
