More information about this house sitter

A single, non-smoking, self-employed, reliable nearly 40-something travelling the country solo in my self-contained van/mobile office. Many years back I unicycled through Kenya, Tanzania, India, Vietnam, Nova Scotia. It's in Wikipedia. No, I didn't add myself.

You might already know of me through my independent analysis of the Australian contact tracing application COVIDSafe as I often chat to the media about issues relating to software, either as a result of research I've been involved in or as an independent voice on topical issues. This ranges from commentary in online pieces, to radio and to national news. Much of the time this is in a very consumer-centric context where I explain technology for the "layman", that is to put technical concepts in language that anyone can consume.

MY SERVICE TO YOU:

Peace of mind that your home and animals are cared for. You will return to a lovely clean home, just the way you left it as I prefer to primarily be based in my home at your home whilst providing love and affection to your animals.

CUTE PHOTOS & COMMUNICATION:

I am an excellent communicator, and will be in touch regularly unless you don't want me to. I usually send photos and updates every 2-3 days, and will ask you any questions as they arise to make sure I understand everything, and I'm giving your animals the best possible care.

RELIABILITY & INTEGRITY:

Once I accept your sit, I stop looking at what is available during that period, and I will never dump you because I found something better. I understand you need a sitter you can count on. Life sometimes throws us curveballs but I will inform you immediately of any problems.

HIGH AVAILABILITY:

I work from home, am happly without a partner, and lead a fairly quiet lifestyle. This means I'm around to give your animals plenty of companionship and attention, whilst providing more security for your home.

MY EXPECTATIONS:

Hot showers, a washing machine and somewhere to run a power cable to if the four day weather forecast turns super dark grey. Stable internet connectivity is very important to me but I'm well setup in this regard as long as there is 3G/4G mobile reception (for any carrier).

It's really important that you have an account setup set up with your vet, so that if I do need to take your animals there, payment is pre-organised.

If you have any specific rules, I'd LOVE it if you could communicate them in writing upon booking me! Open, clear communication is key to a mutually satisfying house sitting exchange.
