About this house sitting position in Carlton North

We have a one your old kitten, Billy who we prefer not to leave alone when we are away. We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy house sitter to keep him company and also mind our indoor/outdoor plants (only applicable when staying a week or more).

Our house is in the heart of Carlton North close to everything - great cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, parks, public pool, and public transport. The house is in a surprisingly quiet area even though it’s a neighbouring suburb to lively areas. A visitor car parking permit is available if needed for your stay.

We are looking for someone experienced, mature and reliable, and who can deal with any situation that might come up. When we are away, we are often hours away or interstate and can't travel back immediately if something happens. Please only apply if you are willing to 100% commit to the stay. We don't anticipate things going wrong as Billy is very easy to care for but we also want to have confidence that we can go away and leave Billy in good hands. :)

In return we offer a great house and in a great suburb as mentioned above. You will have everything you need and we will ensure you are comfortable. We are also reputable AirBNB hosts and have hosted out the room you will stay in so we know how to ensure you have everything you need.

We are super flexible but we need housesitters who are willing to stay every night during the stay. It’s all good to be out and about throughout the day as long as you are able to sleep here each night so that Billy has company. We open the back door in the morning so he can go in and outside as he pleases, but the doors would need to be closed again before dark. He gets a bit excited at night time so we keep him indoors overnight. We’d need you to be able to be here at these times to meet those requirements.

There's nothing complicated to it, and as explained above we can leave clear instructions for Billy's care so you will not be left wondering and we are available on the mobile. We also would like someone who keeps in touch during the house sit. Nothing excessive is required but a friendly message here and there goes a long way in offering us reassurance all is going well.

We also go away a lot and hope to get to know a pool of great house sitters that we can call on again as Billy is at his best comfort with people he knows and has built trust.
