About this house sitting position in Hadfield

We live in a medium-sized house in the northern Melbourne suburb of Hadfield. It has 3 bedrooms, a study, 2 bathrooms and a generously sized open-plan kitchen/living area + front and back verandahs. It also has large front and back lawns and off-street parking in the driveway.

We are a short walk from a Woolworths supermarket and the local shopping strips of West Street and Pascoe Street, which includes several cafes, bakeries, gelato shops, etc. Slightly further away are the Pascoe Vale and Oak Park swimming pools, the Oak Park and Merlynston train stations and the Northern Golf Club.

At time of writing, we have 2 quails, 3 guinea pigs, 5 chickens and one goldfish who need to be looked after when we are away. We also have a range in indoor and outdoor plants and pot plants that need to be occasionally watered.

Daily tasks:
- Chickens: check food and water and top up if needed; check for eggs (feel free to use any you find!); throw a handful of 'scratch' seeds for them to dig around for; make sure their door is securely closed as we have seen the occasional fox hanging around!
- Quails: check food and water and top up if needed
- Fish: feed a small pinch of food (there's only one fish and it doesn't eat much!)
- Guinea pigs: turn their wood shavings with a dustpan; top up their oat hay and pellets; check their water bottle and refill if needed; give then a bowl of veggies to nibble on
- Plants: if its a hot day, water the pot plants on the front and back verandahs with the garden hose

Every 2 days:
- Chickens: using the garden hose, spray out the metal mesh floor inside their house to wash any accumulated chook poo onto the ground below
- Plants: if the weather has been hot, water the pot plants along the back fence behind the chicken yard

Every 7 days: (if we are away that long!)
**These are in addition to the daily tasks listed above**
- Chickens: throw in a handful of grit
- Guinea pigs: scoop out their wood shavings with a dustpan and brush; put the old shavings in the green bin outside; put fresh wood shavings in their piggy house
- Plants: if the weather has been cold, water the plants on the front and back verandahs and along the back fence
