About this house sitting position in Jimboomba
I have a 3 bedroom brick home with study and ensuite to master on 1/2 acre in a quiet, semi-rural area between Brisbane and Beaudesert, called Jimboomba. The house has town water, internet, Wi-Fi, sewerage, phone and a big area under cover for BBQs. The block is landscaped with mainly native trees so the birdlife is lovely. Jimboomba is 1 hr away from the Gold Coast and Brisbane and 20-30 mins from Mt Tamborine and Beaudesert. Facilities in Jimboomba include Petrol stations, Woolworths, Coles, bakery, fast food, Coffee Club, hotel, bars, restaurants, doctors, chemists, $2 shops, produce, hardware, nurseries - almost everything needed, or 20 mins to Browns Plains for the remainder. I need someone, or couple, who are not loudly spoken or loud living (no party animals), to care for my cat and home while I'm away. No children or other pets please (a bird or something similar would be OK). I would like someone that has references and a police check. I will be overseas for 7 weeks (I'm allowing an extra few days to help you assimilate into my home and get to know my beautiful cat while I'm still there). My cat, Tripod, has obviously, 3 legs. He is a desexed male, 10 yr old who is quite anxious as he has had several major operations in his life, starting at losing his leg at 6 weeks, due to car hit or dog attack, which is when I met him. He is predominantly a house cat, but has a couple of hours outside in the sun and fresh air each day if possible. He is fed twice a day on a diet of wet, organic foods which will all be prepared in advance for you. His litter trays are emptied of waste every day and cleaned and replenished about fortnightly. His only health issue is that he gets urinary tract infections occasionally which are readily recognised and treated.
The only other things to be done are to collect any unsolicited mail, read the local paper, put the rubbish bins out and in each week, water the vege patch occasionally if no rain, and enjoy the serenity. Read more...
