I have been a sitter for over 10 years -- I enjoy taking care of pets, homes, and gardens or farms, in a caring, reliable, and respectful manner to meet owner instructions/needs, and informed by extensive expertise/experience working with diverse pets/animals.

My sitter experiences range from country and city homes to regional farms and living off-grid, from a few days to several months. Pets I have cared for include dogs/cats, chickens/ducks/geese, cockatiels/parrots, horses/donkeys, alpacas, goats, rabbits/guinea-pigs, fish, and turtles/lizards (among many other varieties, and of varying ages, personalities, needs and sizes -- including large dogs).

I ensure pet training is maintained, or will work on training needs that owners identify as helpful. I administer dietary, health, and medication needs identified by owners for the wellbeing of their pets.

I maintain the standards of cleanliness/tidiness of homes established by the owners. With gardens and indoor plants, I hand-water or ensure that drip-systems are running properly. I mow lawns, rake leaves, gather produce, and maintain birdbaths.

More broadly, I worked in universities across diverse roles, both academic and managerial. I am quiet, clean and tidy, organised, and a non-smoker. I enjoy quiet time "at home" contributing to a few creative/volunteer projects (such as making pet portraits).

My confidence as a sitter is strengthened by academic qualifications/training and a hands-on professional career in the behaviour, management, rehabilitation, and care of animals, over the past 40 years.
